Shipbuilding Site Coordinator

What will you do?

As a (Hands-on) Shipbuilding Foreman, you will act as the shipyard’s point of contact at the shipyard in the Rotterdam region. You will manage subcontractors, monitor the progress of the project and ensure that the work is carried out safely, on schedule and to the required standard. You will spend approximately 90% of your time coordinating and managing, and will step in yourself when necessary.

  • Managing and supervising subcontractors on site
  • Acting as the point of contact on site on behalf of TeamCo
  • Monitoring scheduling, quality and safety
  • Report weekly to the project management team in Heusden
  • Co-ordinating structural and finishing works
  • Check that parts are fitted in the correct position
  • Assisting with technical tasks where necessary, for example in the engine room
  • Working together with colleagues, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the successful completion of every project

What do you bring?

  • Experience as a foreman, site supervisor or manager in shipbuilding or maritime engineering
  • Technical understanding of structural and finishing works
  • You can motivate and manage people, whilst keeping a clear overview
  • You have strong communication skills and are solution-oriented
  • You feel responsible for quality, safety and planning
  • You are willing to pitch in when necessary
  • Ideally, you live in the Rotterdam area
